Heritage Elementary School Named National Beta School of Merit

Richlands, NC April 29, 2021 – Onslow County Schools is proud to announce that Heritage Elementary is a 2020-2021 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.

The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. This year, only 29% of Beta Clubs across the country received this award.

In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”

HES Parent School Survey 20-21

Dear Parents,

In order to collect stakeholder feedback for HES and Onslow County Schools, we are asking our parents to participate in taking the eProve Parent Survey. The results we receive as a school will help us plan and prepare for the next school year. If you could take a few minutes to complete this survey, we would greatly appreciate it. The survey will remain open until May 7, 2021.

Habit 6:

Synergize is the habit of study for the month of April here at Heritage Elementary School. Synergize is defined as the habit of creative cooperation. This habit is about teamwork. It is about accomplishing tasks together and knowing that we can create better solutions together than any one of us can alone. Habit 6 is also about valuing other people’s strengths, getting along well with others, and learning from one another. Synergy buzzes all over our campus daily. Synergizing teaches us that working together is better. Synergizing is teamwork and we are all on the same team!
