ROCK Summit on Saturday October 21
Keller ISD and the KISD R.O.C.K. (Reaching Out with Character and Kindness) anti-bullying campaign will host a Bullying Prevention Summit on Saturday, October 21.
Richard Guerry, Founder of the Institute for Responsible Online & Cell Phone Communication, will be the featured speaker at this year's event. Attendees will gain knowledge to promote responsible use of digital tools while also obtaining the wisdom to prevent negative, irresponsible, and malicious digital behaviors and trends.

Did you know that more than 50 percent of adolescents and teens have been bullied online and about the same number have engaged in cyber bullying? Or that 40 percent of all teenagers have posted or sent sexually suggestive messages, and 80 percent of those teens is under the age of 18? Or did you know that more than one-in-three young people have experienced cyber threats online, and 95 percent of social media-using teens have witnessed cruel behavior on social networkign sites say they have seen others igonring the mean behavior?
All parents and community members are encouraged to attend to learn more about how we can help reduce bullying and cyber-bullying in Keller ISD.

PTA to host Wildcat Family Picnic
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?
Get your favorite team football gear on and join the PTA for a FREE family picnic on Friday October 20th from 6pm till 8pm. We will have games for all ages. Here are the some of the events:

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets. the concession stand will be open to sell pizza, snacks and drinks.

PTA CANDY FUNDRAISER
Thank you to all students, staff and parents for participating in our candy sales fundraiser. We had 107 students selling candy. We still have 45 students who have not turned in the money. If you have not turned in your money please do so right away. We have a lock box in the front office marked PTA.

Join Fossil Hill AVID at Raising Cane’s at Presidio on Wednesday, October 18th from 4:00-9:00. Students are raising money for their program and your bellies count! Stop by for dinner and mention you are eating for AVID! See you there!
Parental Involvement opportunities in KISD

8th grade parents iGraduate Meeting on Oct 24 from 6:00 to 7:30
In the next couple of months, 7th and 8th grade students will begin learning about high school graduation requirements in Keller ISD. This will take place in your student’s advisory class. 8th grade students will be building a 4-year that will help guide them in high school. The goal is to help them discover their strengths and begin narrowing their focus as they begin to select courses for high school. If you would like to view the Modules for the lessons, please check out the iGraduate link on the front of the Keller ISD website.
early dismissal
Reminder that you must be in the office in person to pick your student up for early dismissal. We can't allow students to leave the school unaccompanied before dismissal.

As a reminder, students may not carry their own medication. It must be turned in to the nurse's office with proper documentation. Please feel free to call if you have questions.
Sports physicals are required for all athletes. Please refer to the Rank One information Coach Morse and Coach Williams have sent out.
As you may likely already know, October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month. Keller ISD is a recognized Project ADAM Texas Heart Safe School District which is an awesome accomplishment!

Fossil Ridge Sports
Fossil Ridge is now a member of District 3-6A UIL alignment along with other Keller ISD high schools, Haltom, Weatherford, and Abilene. The 3-6A District Executive Committee has determined that no outside food or drink be allowed into the stadium. The decision for this new rule is primarily to ensure the safe environment for all patrons.
