Veteran's Day Program

Join us Tuesday morning @ 9a.m. in the circle drive in front of the school for a Veteran's Day Music Program like no other. Breakfast will be served to children and their Veterans afterwards in the cafeteria.

Math & Science Update

This week in Math, we continued learning about place value with tens and ones and also hundreds, tens and ones. Wednesday we took a 10 question quiz. Thursday, we took time to go over the quiz. They will be coming home in next week's Thursday folder. In Science, we completed a few papers on the life cycle of a chick. Thursday we began learning about habitats.

Reading & Language Arts Update

In Reading this week we will be reading and talking about Veterans and Thanksgiving as we move into the month of November. In Language Arts we are continuing our work on Personal Narratives or "Small Moments". However, we've moved on from the generation of stories, into revising and editing. We are working on things such as spelling, spacing, punctuation and capitalization.

Family Math & Reading Night

Come to Camp Adam with your child and learn how to help them in Math & Reading! Children are encouraged to come to school in their pajamas on that day and that is the attire for the evening. Please come and celebrate your child's learning and have family fun at school while learning how you can help your child.

Babysitting for children ages one to four will be provided. Please look for the orange flyer from last week's Thursday folders for RSVP and additional information.

In this week's Thursday folder, you should have also seen the order form for the 2014-15 yearbook. They are $25. If you wish to buy one, you may fill out the lower portion of this form and return it with your form of payment or purchase online @

Additional Information

Weather / Recess Update : It is starting to get chilly outside. Please take this into account when sending your children out the door in the mornings. Dress them warmly and include a jacket or coat if necessary. As it continues to cool off, we will continue to go outside for recess.

Snack Time : Please remember that snack time is meant to be a healthy snack. For example, raisins, cereal, Cheez Its, crackers, Goldfish, etc. Please also take the extra few seconds to write your child's name on the snack before sending them out the door with it.
