Dr. Paula Kluth-spotlight activities
In Kluth's book she has many new/revisited ideas. Here are a few to help engage students:
- Story bird- Storybird allows users (Students or teachers) to create beautiful picture books.
- Emaze- Need a new way to present information other that PowerPoint or Google Presentation. Check out this website. There are some premade presentations you may be able to use or create your own.
- Read, Write & Think- This website provides teachers with information on the highest quality practices in reading and language arts instruction. They also have interactive tools, including fill-in-the-blank diamante poem frames, KWL, creators and word family sort. Use this site to download teaching tools and lesson plans that encourage students to learn in a variety of ways. Slide presentation with overview of website.
Found The Smithsonian Website while exploring the internet. It has great resources.
Working on the Big Picture
Thursday morning Mr. Berninghaus, Mrs. Burkhart, Kelli Jones, Erikka Vosmek, building principals, and ICs will be meeting to continue work on the Big Picture at CPU. This is a plan of the vision for our district. It has been very interesting. Our district is doing a lot of great things for our students. As we work on the "Big Picture" it is important to keep these things in mind:
