The Nashua News
Beginning Monday, April 11, all students in grades 3-5 will begin taking the MAP assessment. Testing and make-up days run from April 11th-May 6th. Please make sure your child is on time to school those days, has plenty of rest at night, and eats a healthy breakfast. All of our students and teachers have worked diligently this year to prepare for this test. We want our students to "show what they know" on those days. Please encourage you child to do their very best.
Our 1st graders and Kindergartners will be having their annual music programs in April as well. The 1st grade performance will be on April 14th at 6:30 pm at New Mark Middle School. The Kindergarten performance will be on April 21st at 6:30 pm at New Mark Middle School. We ask all guests to wait in the New Mark Lobby until 6:25 pm so students can finalize their performance with minimal distractions.
Learning does not end just because we finish our state tests. We will continue to involve your child in deep, rich learning experiences that will set the foundation for success.. I hope to see you at some of our activities. As always, it is a privilege to serve as the principal at Nashua Elementary!

News for PTA
Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped out at the Spring Book Fair. Your time was greatly appreciated. Also, thank you to Casey's for donating 4 dozen donuts and Gladstone Starbucks for donating coffee for our GRAND Event. Through the All for Books collection we were able to give each teacher 2 new books for their classrooms, and the book fair sales are allowing our school library to grow. Thank you!

Friday, May 6th, is Nashua's annual Family Fun Night. Each classroom will host an activity and compete for the FFN Kids' Favorite Trophy! This makes the activities free for the students - play all you want, no tickets!
We have Room Reps identified for 15 of our 16 classrooms! Thank you to all the parents who have volunteered. We still need a Room Rep for Ms. Douglas' class.
We are also looking for middle and high school students to run the activities that night. We "pay" in service hours!
Visit nashuapta.mypta.org and click on Family Fun Night to see everything we have planned so far. You can also sign up to be a room rep or student volunteer by selecting a signup from the class activities list on the page.
