Titan Staff News
Week of April 4
Titans,
Just as we were sharing during Staff Development, we all have been led into education for a higher calling. We are all here to make a difference in the lives of our students. What we do for our students cannot be quantified by the scores on a state assessment. (Yes, I typed that while the boxes are still in the building.) If you're like me, your goal is impact those around you and give your students a memory that will last a lifetime - something big, profound and momentous. Titans, we have a moment of a lifetime that will occur on Monday at the Meet of Champions. Many of you know our wheelchair-bound student, Asa. His infectious smile and booming personality light up our hallways. On Monday Asa will don a Tidwell track uniform and take part in the 100 yard race. It's a dream him and his family are excited to see come to fruition. The best part of my week was telling him he'll get to ride a bus and wear a Tidwell jersey. We both might've teared up. I invited you to join me on Monday to cheer this young man to victory as the Titans give him a memory that will last a lifetime.
Have a good weekend,
Kim

Sweatin' in the PLCs
This week will be a fully, integrated PLC week. This is great timing! I know many of you are working to change your boards as we get closer to the end of the school year.
April 4 - SBBB Walks
Task: Walk SBBB boards for a grade level other than your own. Discuss as a group how the tasks your PLC complete relate to the task on the boards you viewed. Do your tasks support students as they progress in their learning? What evidence do you have that students are progressing grade level to grade level? How is our campus Instructional Focus represented on the SBBB?
