Topic of the Week: Personal Responsibility
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the time with her families!
The topic for this week is personal responsibility. Responsibility is a job or duty that you are responsible for completing. This is different for everyone. A few of my personal responsibilities are: taking care of my dog, cooking meals for my family, cleaning my house, and being your school counselor! For students, your personal responsibilities may be chores at home, being kind to siblings and friends, completing school work, and always doing your best!
Being responsible is the way to be! Here are 5 ways that you can show responsibility:
1. Think It Through
When we stop to think about our actions and words, it shows others that we are responsible because we are thoughtful and care about the outcomes and the way we affect others.
2. Take Care of Your Task and Materials
Keep your things in order, don't damage them & keep them safe.
3. Do Your Part
4.Follow Through
If you say you'll draw the picture for your group project, do it. If you say you'll sweep the kitchen floor, do it. Following through shows others that they can trust us when we make a commitment.
5. Be Honest
Being honest is important because again, it shows others that they can trust us. Sometimes it can be hard to be honest, like when we've made a mistake. Bud did you know that being honest ALL THE TIME, even when it's really hard, really shows others that you're responsible? It let's others know that you made a mistake and that you want to do better.
Get Moving!
