Running Records for MOY Assessments

In case you haven't heard, we are making a switch in Coppell to using running records to assess a reading level during the school year. We will give a DRA at BOY and EOY only. When K-2 teachers report out a DRA level at MOY it is really the Fountas and Pinnell reading level based on a running record.

You are assessing accuracy AND comprehension during a running record. If you would like to have a quick chat to make sure you have clarity on running records, shoot me a text or an email and we will set something up! I'm happy to just chat or we can set up a situation where you watch me do a running record with one of your learners. There are also some helpful links below.

Upcoming CPR Class

CPR certifications expire every 2 years. Is your CPR certification current? Have you ever taken a CPR class? If not, please consider taking the Spring CPR course with me on Monday, February 25th! I will have 10 openings so please email me directly if you are interested! The more people we have CPR certified in our school, the better chance we have at saving a life! Thank you all! - Jill

Lunch & Learn

You're invited to join in and contribute to the "Lunch & Learn" slideshow starting in the Cafe this week!

Similar to the front entry TV that has pictures/updates scrolling, I'd like to have a slideshow streaming in the Cafe as well. You're invited to contribute to the Google Slides below. There are slides set up for several teams already... Feel free to add pictures, book recommendations, sight words, whatever you'd like!

This is just an extra way to pass along information during lunch.

Please feel free to switch up your slide(s) however you would like. If you don't currently have a slide, feel free to add one!
