Speech-Language Therapy
How can a parent help?
You can help your child improve his/her speech and language skills!
At parent conferences, so many parents ask me, "What can I do to help my child's speech?" Well, you don't need to be a Speech-Language Pathologist to help. All you need are some tools (that I will provide for you) and a lot of patience and perseverance. I can provide you with word lists, etc. that might be helpful. Where your patience and preseverance come in is where you keep correcting your child until you no longer hear the errors. This may take some time, but don't give up! It will be worth all of your effort in the long run.
Please call or send a note to school with your child if you would like practice sheets sent home. I will get them sent home and you can be on your way to helping your child meet his/her speech-language goals. You can leave me a message at 942-4251 Extension 8788.
Good luck,
Mrs. Lazarek, Speech-Language Pathologist
