School Meals Information - Meal Benefits Eligibility Expiration
Meal Benefits Eligibility Expiration
Students who qualified for free or reduced-price meals at the end of last school year are eligible to participate at their current eligibility status for the first 30 calendar days of the 2022-2023 school year. In order for meal benefits to continue, a federal meal application for the 2022-2023 school year must be completed. Students with no application on file after 30 calendar days will return to full-paid eligibility status effective September 23, 2022. Households that have submitted a federal meal application for free or reduced-priced meals for the 2022-2023 school year do not need to reapply. Households who wish to apply for free or reduced-priced meals will need to complete an online federal meal application for the current school year via the website www.pisd.edu/mealprogram.
Applications will be processed within 10 business days. Eligibility notification letters will be sent via email. If you have not received the letter in your inbox, please check your junk and spam folders. View this SchoolCafe information video for instruction on how to complete the application.
Volunteers
We love our volunteers at Boggess. All volunteers will need to create an account and complete an application, online orientation and background check through the Plano ISD volunteer management system, VOLY, to be eligible for district/school volunteer opportunities. Please visit plano.voly.org to create a volunteer account and begin this process. These items will need to be completed by volunteers each school year.

Meet the Principal
Hello everyone,
I hope you have had a fantastic summer! At Boggess Elementary, our mission is to inspire successful life-long learners. It is my belief that the school environment should be a welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, learning is a priority for all, connections to the community are strong, and students grow both academically and socially in a safe learning environment.
I love reading, walking, shopping and taking road trips with my family. My husband and I are extremely blessed to have our daughter, her husband and our two wonderful grandchildren nearby.
I am honored to serve the Boggess community and I feel very fortunate to work with such amazing children and such a dedicated staff. I am just as excited for this school year to begin as I was 34 years ago when I first began my career in education. I look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting those new to the Bengal family.
Working together I know we will make this school year one of growth, excitement, and achievement for all students.
Stay Connected!
I invite you to stay involved and informed. Below are several ways to stay connected:

- Follow us on Twitter at @BoggessBengals
- Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BoggessElementary
- Check your student's agenda daily
- Monitor your email for teacher communication
I strongly encourage all families to join PTA. Our PTA has a strong partnership with our school that benefits every child! The programs, volunteer support, family events and financial support are part of what makes Boggess great.
Thank you for sharing your child with us!
