Sunflower Elementary Board Report
Board Report
In early November, Janis Grandon and I attended the annual KAESP conference in Wichita.
We celebrated American Education Week in grand style this year. We kicked off the week with a special presentation by the Mad Scientist of Greater KC.
Our STUCO is once again sponsoring a toy drive for local families in need. They have decorated a large “Wizard of Oz” tree in the foyer. Stop in to see it!
Myself and several staff members went to Wichita on November 21 to attend the Kansas Teacher of the Year banquet with Jolene Pennington. It was an honor to be amongst so many wonderful teachers from across the state.
The Girls on the Run 5K was also on November 21. It was a COLD rainy day, but the girls prevailed. Every single Sunflower girl finished the race. This is a spectacular program.
THANK YOU!
