SIGN UP FOR THE ICCS VARIETY SHOW

It's back by popular demand! For many years, ICCS has showcased our student's unique talents and creativity through the annual Variety Show event. In an effort to keep this ICCS tradition going during the pandemic, the 2021 ICCS Variety Show will be virtual. The project is being coordinated by Mrs. Virginia-Kate Jessen and Senora Erica Barrios. The ICCS Virtual Variety Show will be broadcast to all students during Catholic Schools Week, January 31-February 6.

All PK-8th Grade students are invited to participate! All your student has to do is send in a video of themselves (alone or with friends) performing! Videos MUST BE school appropriate and may not exceed two minutes. Please note, ICCS reserves the right to hold back any video that is not deemed school appropriate.

Students can:

-Sing a song or hymn

-Perform a dance

-Act out a skit or scene from a play or movie

-Perform a monologue

-Lip sync

-Perform in their own cooking show

-Demonstrate how to build a craft

-Play an instrument

These are just suggestions - if your child is interested in participating, encourage him/her to be creative and to have fun!

The video submission deadline has been extended! You now have until Wednesday, January 13 to submit videos. Parents, please help your young stars submit the videos to Mrs. Jessen by submitting them electronically to vjessen@iccsweb.com.

Technical details:

  • If you use a smartphone, be sure to film sideways (landscape).
  • Be sure that your child can be seen! Move lamps or other light sources behind your camera and stay in the light.
  • Be sure your student can be heard. Turn off televisions, fans, or other background noises while you film.
  • Please send the videos as either a .mov or a .mp4 file.
  • If the video file is too large to email, you may upload it to google drive and share it that way.

For more information, please contact Mrs. Jessen by email at vjessen@iccsweb.com or Senora Barrios at ebarrios@iccsweb.com.

PRAYER AGAINST THE CORONAVIRUS

O Mary, you shine continuously along our journey as a sign of salvation and hope.

We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the Cross were near to the pain of Jesus, keeping your faith firm.

You, Salvation of the Roman people, know what we need, and we trust that you will provide for those needs so that, as at Cana of Galilee, joy and celebration may return after this moment of trial.

Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the will of the Father and to do what Jesus tells us, He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and took up our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen.

We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin.
