BCCA MESSENGER October, 2021
Harmoniously blending the work of redemption and education

Geetings BCCA Families,
This past week the teachers all went to Camp Alamisco for professional development meetings. After the meetings, the camp offered boat rides for the Gulf States Conference staff. Riding around Lake Martin, I was impressed by the beauty around me. I loved watching the wake from behind our boat spread out behind us and tried to follow them as far as I could. At some point, you could no longer tell which waves came from the our boat and which ones were from other boats or the wind. The waves remind me of Adventist Education. The ministry of Big Cove Christian Academy is rippling out like a wave. As we touch the lives of our students, their families and our community is also changed. You are invited to be a part of the wave, and to prayerfully consider how you can touch the lives of the students in our school.
Blessings,
BCCA Principal
Cassie Fristoe

The Gil-Hernandez Family
We have a new feature added to our newsletter. Every month we will learn about one of the families attending BCCA. With all the busyness of life, here is a great way to know each other better. This month our resident Family Connections member interviewed the Gil-Hernandez family. If you would like to be featured as out next family in the BCCA Newsletter, please contact Dahlia Swatzell.

Parent Teacher Conference (Oct 13) 1-5pm
Tate Farms Field Trip (Oct 14)
Community Outreach (Cards & Bucket)
One of BCCA's goal is to be a light in the community. The Principal informed us that our sister Decatur church was putting together Flood Buckets for victims of Hurricane Ida. In order to build morale and encouragement, the students used their creative talents to make cards. These cards will be included in the buckets. Thank you to all who donated towards this initiative.
Therefore encourage one another and build one another up as indeed you do. (1 Thessalonians 5:1)

BCCA Fall Picnic, Oct 31 (Sunday), 5:00pm
Join us Sunday, October 31, 5:00 p.m., on the field behind BCCA for our annual Fall picnic. This will be a fun-filled outdoor time of fellowship, music, and worship around the campfire, and hayrides too!
You are welcome to bring your own hot dogs and buns or other foods/drinks for your family to enjoy. Please bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket, and a roasting stick if you want to roast your own hotdogs over the fire. No costumes please. Everyone is invited!

Yardsale/Car Wash Update

Sept 12th was Grandparent's Day. Thank you Grandparents for all you do. You're the best!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT).
One of the major teachings of the Bible is that you are a one-of-a-kind, original masterpiece of God. You have a unique thumbprint, eye print and voiceprint. Your heart beats at a slightly different rhythm than anyone on earth! God loves variety and and God loves you, His masterpiece.
At Big Cove Christian Academy we want every student to know that God has a plan and a purpose for their life; that every child is uniquely designed to make a difference in the world. Followers of Jesus can walk tall in the knowledge that he or she is the creation of God—created in love and called to do a work God planned ages ago. So, have faith and follow the plan God has for you now and for eternity!
Love Always,
Pastor Randy Mills
