The 7 Habits of a Positive Parent
One question I get asked about positive parenting is, "How can I stay positive when my child acts out?" It's a totally valid question. However, once you understand what positive parenting really means, it'll make more sense. Parents tend to associate positive parenting with the need to be smiley, happy people 100% of the time. That is actually toxic positivity. Positive parenting requires you to tap into your child's needs in a way that makes them feel heard. The gentleness you show your child is ultimately what leads to a successful positive parenting moment. This peaceful approach to parenting shows your child that:
You're listening to them
Their needs are important
You love them, no matter what
The result? More listening and fewer power struggles. Sounds great, right? This week's guide highlights the 7 Habits of a Positive Parent to help you with this approach.

National Online Safety
The internet has transformed the ability to access content. Many apps that children use are dependent on user-generated content which can encourage freedom of expression, imagination and creativity. However, due to the sheer volume uploaded every day, it can be difficult for platforms to regulate and moderate everything, which means that disturbing or distressing images, videos or audio clips can slip through the net. That’s why we’ve created this guide to provide parents and caregivers with some useful tips on keeping children safe online. Visit the National Online Safety website for an additional resources on how to keep your children safe.
Community Resources
Many families may have concerns that extend beyond the educational needs of their children. If you need help finding resources in our community such as food, financial assistance, health care, and mental health services, please let us help you.
