Please Join our new AntiRacism Team in a letter-writing campaign: The OUUC Anti-racism team invites you to practice allyship by answering a call from Washington Coalition for Police Accountability (WCforPA). No later than November 30, please send an email or letter to Olympia’s mayor, city council, and police department asking them to please "adopt the Attorney General’s Model Use of Force policy in full."

Interest has been expressed in having a support group for parents of trans, non-binary, or otherwise gender nonconforming or gender queer kids or youth. If you are a parent who would like to join a group such as this for the purpose of mutual support, celebration of our kids, and helping each other figure it all out, please email Rev Sara.

Right now, she is thinking the best time could be a Sunday 12:30-2:00 pm, the same time as youth group, once a month. But suggest other times if that doesn’t work for you

At LP Brown over 70% of the families are low income and many could benefit from some assistance to ensure they have what they need for the holidays. This year, LP Brown is hosting a Giving Tree. Families who sign up for the Giving Tree will be given gift cards to purchase holiday gifts for their children as well as groceries for a family meal. This provides the family with assistance while also ensuring that they still have agency to get what works best for their family. OUUC is helping out by collecting gift cards to this Giving Tree. We are seeking $25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, Safeway, Fred Meyer, and Grocery Outlet. Please bring gift cards to Rev Sara no later than Thursday, December 8.
