To Begin Again!
Your patience this last week has been appreciated as we delivered computers and books. We (and the rest of the district) are working to get Active boards, School Net, etc. etc. set up and ready to go. Old school seems to be the way for the moment.
Your walkthroughs ( and remember it was the 4th day of school) were VERY GOOD. Please don't hesitate to check with me and/or Belissa about the findings. We continue to get better every day (and I plan to live to 100 :-)
Here's to a Fantastic learning year ahead for students, parents AND educators!!

What! What's this thing? Dare I use my phone? Have I downloaded the QR app?
From the Nurse
No sick visits in elementary unless needs to be sent home from 10:55 – 11:30. Amy now has 2 diabetics that she must count carbs, calculate insulin and help administer along with 7 other students for medications around that time frame and she cannot assess and make phone calls for other students. We have been instructed that our focus must be on these students without interruption to prevent medication errors.
It is our hope with a few safety measures the clinic visits for injuries will be minimized.
1. Please closely supervise recess, if a minor scrape occurs, please allow 3rd – 5th graders to wash and place band-aid over site.
If scrape requires larger band-aid please send to clinic.
2. For Pre-K - 2nd grade, if minor scrape, please assist student in classroom or bathroom to wash off and cover with band-aid. Send to clinic if needed for larger scrapes. Let clinic know if you need more gloves and band-aids for classroom.
3. No running back playground, especially when the entire grade level is utilizing since it is a small area with swings etc in motion.
4. No snacks outside. Dr.’s are ordering Epi-Pen to be given immediately if exposure occurs. All staff will be trained later this year.
5. Please do not send to clinic after you have just seen them running around at recess without difficulty and are now complaining once time to work.
Thanks for your help,
Lisa Mullane RN
