2020-2021 DRAGON BASKETBALL SEASON
Basketball Season during a Pandemic
A lot of information is provided below concerning the 20-21 basketball season.
Please take time to read.
Here is how the 20-21 basketball season is working this year due to the pandemic:
- Game Starting Times: Starting times for games are on the poster hanging in the Dragons Den/Gym Lobby and on the door coming in the gym lobby. If you arrive before the game starts, you will have to wait in the gym lobby or in your vehicle. Suggestion: Arrive about 10 minutes before game is set to start.
- Children under 5 are admitted free. If they are going to need a seat, a voucher is needed; otherwise, if they can sit on the parent's lap, a voucher is not needed.
- Basketball Players and Parents: If at all possible, if you have a leftover voucher not being used for a game, please bring it to the gate or give to Mrs. Christian the day of the game. Sometimes the visiting school will have leftover vouchers that they bring to the gate. But we won't know until that night. There is no guarantee that if you show up and didn't reserve a spot that you will have a seat.
- Vouchers: One voucher is good for two people. The voucher gets you a seat. You will pay at the gate - $4.00 per person. The vouchers are game-specific (Jr. High Girls, Jr. High Boys, etc.)
- Passes Accepted: Faculty Passes, AAA Passes, and Lifetime Passes. A voucher is still required in order to have a seat.
- Seating is available in the student section. There are 6 sets available (2 people per set). You need to call the Field House, 479-369-4666, Mon-Fri, 12:00-2:30 to reserve a seat. Coach Harrell to reserve a spot prior to the game. A chart will be at the gate of who has reserved a spot. Fans can also check with Mrs. Christian at the gate to see if any of these spots are available.
- After each game: After each game, the gym has to be emptied before parents/fans can enter for the next game. Game Night Example: You have a voucher for the senior high girls game - You pay at the gate - The game ends - The gym empties - You have a voucher for the sr. high boys game - You have to leave the gym and come back through the gate - You must sit in the seat that is on the voucher. But you only pay one time that night.
So, basically, you have to 1) Have a voucher for a specific game, or 2) Have reserved one of the extra spots.

A Re-Cap of the 2020 Little League Dragons Football Season
5th/6th - The 5th and 6th grade football teams got better and better as the season went along. They finished the regular season 4-3 with wins over Magazine, West Fork, Hackett, and rival Cedarville. In the playoffs, Cedarville beat out Mountainburg in the first round in a rematch.
The 3rd/4th team was a force to be reckoned with all year. They finished the regular season 5-2. They beat JC-Westside, West Fork, Hackett, Lavaca, and in an upset, they went to Shiloh Christian and beat Shiloh.
In the playoffs, they got a 1st round bye and then beat JC-Westside in the 2nd round to advance to the championship game. They ended up losing to Mansfield and earned a runner up finish in the league.
Congratulations to all the coaches and the players for a great season!

HEALTH AND WELLNESS TIP
Check out THESE tips to get rid of that sluggish feeling through the holidays:
- Have pumpkin pie instead of pecan pie. Even with a dollop of whipped cream, you’ll cut calories and sugar by at least a third.
- Break physical activity up into smaller chunks so it’s easier to schedule, like walking 10 minutes several times a day.
- Schedule some “me” time every day—a nap, dog walk, or hot bath to get your energy back for the next celebration.
