What Are We Up To In Room 115?

Math

Students should have their study guides at home to study this weekend! Our test will be on Tuesday morning over our Geometry chapter.

On Wednesday, we will begin working with fractions.

Reading

We are continuing with nonfiction one more week and will move into our test-taking preparation next week. Students will be reading a variety of nonfiction texts during our reading block and learning how to respond to these texts. We will be looking at how authors can use it to persuade us or make us feel a certain way.

Writing

We will begin working on our project, researching and writing about the state of Indiana and how tourism affects the economy. Students will be researching different regions and working in groups to highlight the best parts of their regions.

**This week students will continue to research the areas of tourism that are important in each region and the students will create questions they want answered for their travel agency. We will be gathering information and thinking about ways that students may want to present their findings through their final project.

Science

We continue experimenting with open and closed circuits. Students will also be busy with our new classmates, Twinkie and Cuddles. I hope they had a fun weekend at Kelsey and Kylie's houses! This week we will be adding fruits and vegetables to the rats' diets.
