Lions Park Paw Prints
Letter from the PTO
Dear Lions Park Families,
It is hard to believe that January is over, and with that our school year is about half way done. On January 19 the PTO held a virtual author visit with renowned author Peter H Reynolds. He is widely known for his writing in that he writes stories for all ages that encourage creativity and individuality. A big thank you to Ms. Kennedy for arranging the visit.
On February 14 Lions Park will be celebrating Valentine’s Day. Each classroom will be able to have a Valentines Party that include games and fun activities. Students will be allowed to pass out valentines to their classmates just as long as it is not a food item.
In February Lions Park PTO is usually working hard to plan our annual Paw-looza, this year it has yet to be determined whether or not the Paw-looza will go on due to the fact that we have been unsuccessful in filling the chair positions. If you or anyone you know would be interested in chairing this role please contact us as soon as possible. We would hate to not be able to have the children display their talents for all to see. Co-chairs of the Paw-looza will be responsible for creating flyers and coordinating and facilitating the week of events. If interested please email the PTO. We would really appreciate any help.
The updated Lions Park directory is now available to all families who signed up for PTO membership.
● If you are new to Lions Park or Directory Spot AND signed up to be a PTO member: You should have received an email with instructions on how to set up your Directory Spot password to receive access to the directory.
● If you have used Directory Spot in the past AND signed up to be a 2021-22 PTO member: Open your Directory Spot app, log in, and you are good to go! If you have not signed up, visit this link: https://lionsparkpto.com/product/pto-family-membership/
Due to some precautionary measures we have decided to host February’s PTO meeting via zoom.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

COVID Vaccination
If your child has received two vaccine doses, you can submit proof of vaccination at this link. The form does require you to have a Google account. If you do not have a Google account, please email a photograph of the proof of vaccination to our school nurse, Mrs. Bauer, at cbauer@d57.org. Students who are two weeks past their second dose are considered to be fully vaccinated. State guidelines say that these students do not have to quarantine due to exposure to COVID. We will still notify these families if their child is a close contact, but the students may continue to come to school.
