There will be no more Baking Club meetings this school year. Mrs. Orbison is looking forward to more sessions of Baking Club in the fall!

6th graders going to BMS:

Students can bring in Spirit Pack orders and money (exact change or a check made out to BMS) tomorrow (Friday 5/8) morning. Due to Field Day, all orders need to be sent to the office BEFORE 8:30AM in a sealed envelope. Dr. Hester will come here to pick up orders and leave Spirit Packs for students.

Honor Society

Honor Society will meet this Thursday, May 7, after school when Mt. Carmel students are released.

May 7th is the last day to charge in the cafeteria.

Field Day

May 8th with a Rain Date of May 15th.

Field Day Volunteers:

Thank you for volunteering to help us on our upcoming Field Day! Field Day is this Friday, May 8. and we need you to please report to the front office at 7:30 a.m.

Field Day Help Needed

Calling all Volunteers! Interested in helping monitor a station of face painting, karaoke, musical chairs and other fun activities??? RIS is looking for volunteers to help on Field Day. We need as many of you as possible. Please contact Mrs. Christi Cuckler at ccuckler@madison.k12.al.us if you are able to help. Field Day is scheduled for May 8, 2015 8:30-1:30 with a rain date of May 15, 2015. Thank you for all your support!

Please send in donations of Little Debbie snack cakes for the Field Day Cake Walk.

Field Day - P.E. Dept.

The RIS PE Department would greatly appreciate donations of

2 liter soft drinks (regular or diet) for our Ring Toss game for Field Day.

Drinks will be stored in the gym office, so please make sure that your child knows to bring it with them when they come to PE or, if any drinks are dropped off at the front office, that office staff is aware that the donation should be sent to PE. Thank you in advance for your generosity to help make Field Day 2015 GREAT!

K-Kids and SGA are sponsoring an H2O (water) Drive

Please donate a case of water, drop off in lobby. Dates to donate water are April 27th-May 8th. Thanks for your support.

This Friday will be the last day to order spring pictures. Lifetouch will make a pick up at 9 am.

All Library Books are due this Friday, May 8th.

Leadership Day

From Andrea Neuschaefer, 5th Grade Teacher

My classes are engaging in BYOT from now until the end of the school year. We are doing interactive lessons on Solar and Renewable Energy using the new LMS, Canvas. Students are learning how Canvas can be used as a learning tool in the classroom to engage and progress monitor their learning.

The following band students participated in Solo & Ensemble on Saturday, May 2nd. All of our students received high scores.
