Principal's Message
Dear Families and Caregivers:
In honor of Veteran's Day, we wish to recognize and thank the many men and women who have served, and currently serve, in our country’s armed forces. We honor them for their service, sacrifice, and love of country; understanding that we, as a nation, go about the business of our days while our military personnel work tirelessly to ensure we can do so. Thank you for your service.
We especially wish to honor our Gold Star families who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Our deepest sympathies for your loss. We thank you for your loved one’s service to our country.
Thank you Veterans!
In addition, I would like to thank the many parent volunteers that were able to join our classrooms last week to provide our scholars with the many craft and STEM activities. We appreciate all that you do to support our school community.
November has arrived, and days are now much shorter, and the colder weather is definitely upon us. Please remind your children to dress for outdoor play, as students go outside every day. Please help by making sure your children are dressed for the weather!
Our teachers have been getting to know their students’ strengths and needs and this information was shared with families during conferences on 11/1. Our next conference day is scheduled for 11/15 for those that didn't attend on the 1st. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about your child’s progress, at any time throughout the year. We strongly believe in working together and communicating regularly to best support our students.
There are many ways you can continue to support your child’s learning at school. Please spend a few minutes every week looking over any information your child brings home, checking your email for school notices, and filling out forms to return to school. Families should ensure children have a quiet, well-lit spot, free from distractions, to complete any homework. We encourage all students to spend some time reading each evening. We encourage Kindergarten parents to read to their children daily. Working together with your child’s teacher will help your child succeed.
Please be sure to you have your calendars marked for any early release days and holiday breaks from school. Thanks again for all that you do!
Respectfully,
Troy
POINT OF PRIDE
Thank You Mrs. Chan
