Holiday Gift Cards for Teachers & Staff

Every year, the AMMS PTA gives gift cards to all the teachers and staff members at their Holiday Lunch in December. These $20 gift cards are a much-appreciated way to say THANK YOU for all that they do for our children.
This year, instead of you having to shop for those gift cards, we are asking parents to send an electronic contribution towards the cost of the gift cards. These contributions will be collected by our Vice President of Teacher Support, Emily Lovelace, who will then purchase all the gift cards with our Hospitality Committee.
Contributions can be sent below now through November 18th. A suggested contribution of $20 would be appreciated.

If you have any questions, please contact Emily at emilykentlovelace@gmail.com.

Congratulations DECA Club
Recently the DECA Officer Team represented Autrey Mill’s Marketing Club at the DECA Fall Leadership Conference. They went to the Renaissance Hotel and Convention Center for a field trip. They also crossed the bridge over the freeway to tour The Battery.
They first sat in the DECA Kick Off Meeting and heard the latest DECA information from the State DECA Officers and an energetic motivational speaker talk about never giving up in the face of diversity. The AMMS Officers then attended 3 Leadership Workshops and were trained on running their local chapter and preparing their members for competitive events. They learned a lot and are ready to use this knowledge for their future, as well as to leading the AMMS DECA Chapter.
Autrey Mill Middle School DECA invites all interested Autrey Mill students to join us for our monthly Marketing Club meetings.
Congratulations

Parent Reminder
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As a reminder, No LUNCHES, desserts, baked goods (store bought/homemade), or any other edible items are not to be sold or distributed at school or on the bus unless approved in advance by school administration. Per our Student Code of Conduct, students who do not adhere to this expectation are subject to disciplinary action for violation 7A: Failure to Follow Rules and all candy or food items will be confiscated. Please discuss this expectation and possible consequences with your student(s) as this will be taken very seriously. This is due to recent national and state reports about students sharing edible items and synthetic medications with other students that contain very harmful substances.
Please know that taking this measure will help us maintain a safe environment for all students. You can help us protect your student(s) by requestion that they not eat anything given to them by another person, anything that they have not brought from your home or anything not in its original sealed package.
· No Sharing of lunches or bringing lunches for other students.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping all our students safe at school!
