Welcome to the Latest Issue

The Speed Limit at MV is 10 MPH
It’s up to us as residents to observe the posted speeds and to inform our visitors about the traffic rules inside the gates of Moanalua Village. The speed limit is set to keep our residents and visitors safe. Take extra caution while driving down Moanalualani Way after making the right turn from the Place. Recently a truck going down the Way almost collided with a driver going the opposite direction. This was a close call and serves as a caution to all of us about the care we need to take while driving in our neighborhood.
Any distracted driver can create a dangerous situation, so please observe the speed limit and please refrain from cell phone use, particularly texting, while driving. For the majority of neighbors and visitors who do pay attention to the speed limit, thank you. Your consideration is much appreciated.
Please Recycle
Everyone can benefit from recycling, not only because it's the responsible thing to do, but also because it can bring in big savings to our association as there will be less trash collected. You may recycle plastic, glass, aluminum, and newspaper. Bag each type of recycable separately and leave at the roadside end of your driveway on Wedsesdays before 9A. Please be considerate of Gayla and make sure the bags are not too heavy for one person to lift high enough to reach the recycle bin opening. Separate large bags of newspaper or heavy bottles into smaller bags. Thank you for your participation.
Street Beautification
The road leading to our entrance needs center line painting and street sweeping. Email your Representative Aaron Ling Johanson at repjohanson@ capitol.hawaii.gov or your State Senator Donna Mercado Kim at senkim@ capitol.hawaii.gov with suggestions and complaints regarding our area. On a separate note, a big mahalo to Arlie and Onita McDaniel who have been faithfully de-littering the public part of Moanalualani Place every morning for almost a decade. Want to volunteer? Call 836-3383.
Attention Pool and Spa Users
Please remember to shower before using the pool and spa and to use only waterproof sun care products. Lotions, conditioners, gels and other cosmetic products can cause serious damage to the pumps and filters that support the pool and spa. You can do much to retain the longevity of these systems. Most important is your cooperation and assistance in doing these two things which will help immensely.
Solar Installation Rules
Many residents have expressed interest in having solar panels installed on the roof of their townhome. Solar Energy Device Installation rules for Moanalua Village have been distributed earlier this year and it is the responsibility of each resident to read the rules carefully and have a complete understanding of them. The Board of Directors must approve the plans before work commences. Any questions pertaining to the rules can be brought up at the monthly Board of Directors meeting held the third Wednesday of each month. An informational meeting will be held at a later date.
