SWAT (Student Wellness Awareness Team) Happenings
In efforts to increase student physical activity, the SWAT club opens Husky Arena for students to participate during enrichment. If students have their work completed, they are invited to exercise vs. sitting and viewing their chromebooks. Students are allowed to sign up in their homerooms and only same grade students are invited on specific dates. Urge your Husky to sign up to PLAY in Husky Arena instead of on their chromebooks!

Enrollment – Counselors hosted a Parent Night for Enrollment on Tuesday, November 5th from 6:00 pm to 7:15 pm in the Performing Arts Center (PAC). Counselors provided an overview of the enrollment process, which included graduation requirements, diploma paths, course offerings, and AP/dual credit information.
Teachers provided an enrollment form and met with students individually on November 5th and 6th about their class options and schedule for next year. Counselors are in the process of reviewing student transcripts to confirm they are enrolled in classes needed to meet diploma and graduation requirements. Students returned the form to their homeroom teacher on Thursday, November 7th. Enrollment information, course descriptions, AP/Dual credit information, and Drop/ADD policy can be viewed on North’s webpage (http://north.evscschools.com) under the Student tab by clicking Counselors, then Diploma and Enrollment Information as well as Google Classroom. In April, students will receive a printout of their course requests. Schedule changes can be made, if necessary, at that time. Schedules will not be changed after school ends in May, unless the counselor needs to make an adjustment for credit recovery or a schedule conflict.
SICTC – Sophomores or Juniors wishing to apply to a program at the Southern Indiana Career & Technical Center should fill out an application at applytosictc.com. Students will be notified in January if they were accepted into the program and their counselor will meet with them to adjust their schedule for next year.
