Collegiate Academy at TCC Northeast
January 22nd, 2023
CA enjoyed a smooth start to the spring semester! Thanks to the great work of our Pathways teachers and our counselor, Daina Gardner. We appreciate your hard work! This week we will celebrate accomplishments of our students from the fall semester in our Pathways classes! Many college credits were earned and many TSIA tests were passed. I am confident the success will continue on this spring! Our students are determined to Win the Day!
Our first ever CA Pep Rally will be held Friday morning, Feb. 3 at Center Corner on the TCC NE campus! Put on your Phoenix wear and join us at 8:35am to celebrate our UIL Academic teams, our UIL One Act Play troupe and our boys and girls UIL Soccer teams! Our Spirit Squad will be leading us! You don't want to miss out! Our first home district soccer games are that evening at GMS athletic field beginning at 4pm with boys JV,, 5:30pm girls Varsity, and 7:15pm boys Varsity!
TEA requires districts to disseminate the state, district, and campus level report cards in several ways. One method is to post links to the report cards on our district website which has been completed.
Here is more information on how to find Collegiate Academy data.
As we begin the Spring 2023 semester, please remember that 9th and 10th grade students should remain on the Collegiate Academy campus unless they are in attending a college class. Additionally, as we begin going to the TCC campus this week, please remember that you must wear your TCC ID on your person. That means that it must be visible as you are walking on campus, not in a wallet or back pocket.
Juniors on Independent Study, make sure that you are checking in with Mrs. Lorkowski before attending college classes. You must check in prior to 8:50 each morning.
Seniors on Optional Flexible School Day, along with your college classes, you must attend all support classes such as Pathways, College Math Support, etc. These support classes count towards your minutes to maintain OFSDP status.
TCC Course Materials and Textbooks
Students, remember to check in with your Pathways teacher if you have any textbook concerns. Many of you received digital access instead of a physical textbook. Please make sure that you have all of your course materials ready to go this week! Remember, your Pathways teacher is your first step to resolving any textbook or scheduling issues you may have.
The Class of 2024 is working on their Valentine's Day fundraiser and is in need of some donations!
Our students have worked hard to price check and create a very cute goody bag for the students of CA to buy and send to a friend on Valentine's Day! Please consider donating the following items from our Sign-Up Genius to help the Class of 2024 spread some love on February 14th!
Please let me know if you have any questions. All donations can be delivered to the CA front office and are needed by February 10th.
Thank you for your consideration and for your support of the Class of 2024 and your Phoenix family!
