Field Trip this Friday!

Please remember to plan ahead this weekend as you do your grocery shopping! :)

Your child needs a disposable sack lunch for Friday.

They will also need to wear their PURPLE TEAM DOVE shirt.

Field Trip Planning Project

You all know me...I am a planner. :) This week the kids are going to explore the Perot Museum information site and make an individual plan in order to make the most of their field trip!

Side thought: My husband was a chaperone on my daughter's field trip there last year, and the one thing he said was that there was not enough time to take these littles around to do everything.

We know that is the case regardless, but why not try to organize ourselves and see all of our favorite things instead of spending time reading the map and thinking it through!?! If your child wants to spend the entire time racing the cheetah....then so be it! It is about them, right? :) Of course, I will recommend visiting a few more things, don't worry.

With the amount of amazing chaperones our class has, we are only pairing up a handful of kids, but that does not mean that you all can't walk around together! The kids are worried about that. LOL.

We are going to research our interests, create a list of the names, make a map of where they are located, and what order we should probably attempt to go. Whew! That's a lot, but it is really exciting to see how excited they get about doing this. Believe it or not, your kids are really starting to think this way!! :)

There will be a packet coming home on Monday for all chaperones. This will have the information you need on the first page, and the next two pages are the exhibits that will be available.

Thank you SO much for volunteering to chaperone and make this the best field trip yet!

I just want to take another chance to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for being so supportive of me and our student intern, Ms. Osen, these last few months. She was beyond touched with all the cards, gifts, pictures, and more that came rolling in for her at our going away party. Yall are too generous!!! She misses us already, but don't worry...she gets to join us at Perot! She is looking forward to seeing these kids again.
