Our spring parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for February 13th and 15th from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. These conferences will be scheduled by your child's advisory teacher and will take place in the advisory teacher's classroom. The purpose of these conferences is to discuss the enrollment process and to go over the courses your child would like to take next school year.

The Counselor’s office sent Senior parents and students an email today that contains important information about the General Scholarship Application, Academic and Military Celebration day, and graduation program recognition. You can check out the attachment here.

Over the next few weeks, the counseling department will be presenting important information involving Sexual Abuse & Suicide Prevention materials to each grade level, as directed by mandates from the state of Missouri. The presentations will take place during the student's Advisory class in the Auditorium. Parents were sent details via email regarding these presentations along with an opt-out form. If you do NOT want your student to attend the presentations, return the opt-out form to the JHS Counselor’s Office by January 24th. Presentation dates are as follows: Juniors, January 30th; Seniors, February 6th; Sophomores, February 13th; and Freshmen, February 27th.

We Teach Solutions has scheduled an ACT Prep class on our campus on February 3rd. The class will run from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Students who sign up for the class will be excused from their JHS classes for the day, however, all makeup work will be expected. There is a fee associated with the class. This will be our 2nd year of recognizing graduates for their academic achievements using the Latin Honors System based off of the 2nd semester grades. In order to be recognized with honors, a student must have a cumulative grade point average that falls within one of the following levels of distinction. A Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be recognized.

Cum Laude “with honors”: 10.75 - 10.99

Magna Cum Laude “with great honor”: 11.00 - 11.74

Summa Cum Laude “with highest honor”: 11.75 +

Feb 3rd - We Teach Solutions ACT Prep Class

Feb 13th & 15th - Parent / Teacher Advisory Conferences (by appointment with Advisory teacher)

Feb 16th - End of Term 4

Feb 17th & 20th - No School

Mar 17th - No School

Apr 4th - ACT and WorkKeys Day for all Juniors

Apr 7th - 14th - No School Spring Break

Apr 21st - Spring Fever Reliever at JHS

May 6th - Prom 7:00-10:00 pm

May 9th - 12th - Senior Finals

May 11th & 17th - Graduation Practice

May 12th - Seniors last day of classes

May 19th - Graduation 7:00 pm at the Show-Me Center

May 23rd - 25th - Underclassmen Finals

May 25th - Last day of school, release at noon
