At any rate, I know you all are busy with finals, end of semester projects, and more work than your professors want to grade themselves but I wanted to take a few moments to share some important dates and deadlines.

Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking college graduates who are interested in launching a career with a Fortune 100 company. We'll start you off right with a comprehensive training program, one-on-one mentoring, on-the-job training, a "promote from within" culture, and a strong pay-for-performance compensation structure.
As an Associate Claims Specialist you will:
- Develop the knowledge and skills needed to conduct thorough investigations
- Make decisions about liability / compensability
- Review medical records and evaluate losses
- Negotiate settlements (oftentimes working directly with claimant)
- Manage an inventory of commercial property / casualty claims (involving bodily injury or significant property loss)
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of professional experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply.
- Ability to provide information in a clear, concise manner with an appropriate level of detail, empathy and professionalism; strong negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships
- Ability to gather information, analyze facts, and draw conclusions
- Knowledge of legal liability, insurance coverage and medical terminology helpful but not mandatory
- Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Brittany's Bio
Brittany joined the University of Georgia Career Center team in July 2015 as the Social Science Career Consultant. Before coming to Georgia, Brittany obtained her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Hampshire College and holds Master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Sociology of Education. She has previously served in Student Affairs capacities in higher education, namely Student Activities and Residence Life. Brittany is currently pursuing her PhD in College Student Affairs Administration (Counseling and Student Personnel Services) at the University of Georgia. When not resolving student career concerns and studying, you can find her glued to an episode of The West Wing, Bones, or Grey's Anatomy. She is delighted to serve Social Science students in Franklin.
