Rockin' the Message
Mrs. Fungo's 6th graders have started a movement. The students are writing inspirational messages on rocks and hiding them around campus. Finders can choose to keep the rocks or re-hide them. This inspired our Kindergarteners to make and hide some of their own. #lce6throcks!
Kind Words for a Dear Friend
One never knows when kindness can be shared. In my case, it was for a friend who has lived with Down Syndrome and is now living with Early Onset Alzheimers. This friend, who loves to receive mail, received over 200 letters and cards with words and pictures of encouragement from our LCE students and teachers!
That's A Lot of Pocket Change!
Students and staff raised this much money in coins for the World Wildlife Foundation to support the efforts of the Australian Wildfire rehabilitation. Lions Really Care Club and 4th graders from Mrs. Hopkins's class helped organize the effort and count the money. Wow. Such a generous gift!
