Information
First Quarter Ends
Today marks the official end of the first quarter of the school year, which also means that we are halfway through our first semester. Students have log-in information for their JumpRope account (where their grades are) and parents/guardians can either go through their student's accounts or set one up on their own. Please call the office if you need more information on setting up your own account.
Thank you
On behalf of the staff, I would like to thank all of the parents/guardians who participated in our conferences this week. Please feel free to reach out anytime with any questions/concerns/complements about your student(s) and their education. Thank you.
After School Help
We are pleased to announce that we now are offering after school help on Mondays - Thursdays in the cafeteria from 2:45 - 3:45. There is no need to make an appointment; students can just show up and they do not have to stay for the entire time. Please see Mrs. Roach or Mrs. Jones for more information.
Veteran's Day
There is no school on Friday in honor of Veteran's Day.
Veterans Day is a time for us to pay our respects to those who have served. For one day, we stand united in respect of our veterans.
This holiday started as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service and was originally called Armistice Day. It fell on Nov. 11 because that is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. However, in 1954, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" in order to account for all veterans in all wars.
Vermont State University Open House at Castleton on Friday, November 11
Our Fall Open Houses are in full swing, and we hope you will encourage your students to attend at their campus of interest.
Students and their families are welcome to join us and discover what makes Vermont State a remarkable place to live and learn!
There are many additional visit options across our campuses and learning sites. Students are welcome to select a visit today!
Town to Trails
Poultney wants to hear from our students. In front of the main office, there are cards and a drop box for you to fill out the questions regrading the recreation in the Poultney area. You can also do it online through tinyurl.com/Town2Trails or click on the link below.
Town to Trails is a community-driven planning process that builds on Poultney's 2021 RERC (Recreation Economy for Rural Communities) project. Together, we'll test ideas and create designs for top priority projects and improvements to move Poultney's recreation economy forward. Town to Trials is funded by a VT Better Connections grant.
Please see that attached photo.
