A Message from our Principal
At this morning’s Prayer Service, we prayed for our students who have been ill, or who have fallen ill during this season of the flu. Additionally, we thanked and will continue to pray for Father Don Donahue for his 56 years of priestly ministry. Father Don loves HFCS and is one of our biggest supporters. May God continue to bless him.
Sunday’s Responsorial Psalm hit close to my heart, “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.” When we lose someone close to us, or we’ve had a really bad disagreement with a family member or friend, we typically are mad, angry, and disappointed. Father Don’s departure upset me very much. I have to remember that I choose to be angry and let my heart be hardened. Or, I can received God’s grace by opening my heart and mind and ears to hear His voice. God has a plan for us all. Are we listening.
Thanks to all who made our Open House a great success. There are many folks who sacrifice to make our school a success. God bless you.
Please remember that Father Hoa’s presentation of “FAITH AND FAMILY” is this Wednesday night, beginning at 6:30pm. You do not want to miss this. In a recent homily, Father said that as parents, if we don’t take responsibility for our children’s formation, world will take our place.
Childcare will be provided at no charge. Please RSVP so that we can properly staff this event. Parents will drop off their child / children in the cafeteria.
Additionally, please join us on Friday morning at 11:20 in Church as we pray for our families as we end Catholic Schools Week.
Please continue to pray for the teachers and staff and their ministry. These are very special people whom God has called.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve
