Girls Track Looks for Eighth State Championship
After taking an unprecedented seventh consecutive District I Track and Field Championship this past weekend, the Panthers Girls Track and Field team is heading to Shippensburg University for this weekend’s state championships meet. The program is hungry for its eighth state title. Six girls are competing in 11 events, including junior Brianna Smith (above middle) in the long jump, high jump, 100mH and 300mH; senior Bria Barnes (above left) in the 200m and 400m; senior Ciani Fleming (above right) in the 200m; junior Janelle Williams (right) in the 1600m; and sophomore Talia Simpson and freshman Cydney Wynn who will team with Barnes and Fleming in the 400m relay.

Spirit Animals Ultimate Club Team Heads to States
The Cheltenham Ultimate club team contends for the state title with 15 other teams from across at the commonwealth this weekend at CONSOL Energy Sports Complex at Turner Valley. Playing out of Pool B, the Spirit Animals are the No. 14 seed and will face the other members of their pool on Saturday: No. 2 Franklin Regional at 9 a.m., No. 7 Holy Ghost Prep at 11 a.m. and No. 11 Radnor at 1 p.m. Twelve teams qualify for the quarterfinals, which takes place Sunday. The Spirit Animals head into the tournament with a starting lineup of junior captain Colin McLaughlin, seniors Lionel Smoler-Schatz, Julian Mendelsohn and Clement Thomas, junior Ian Wright and sophomores Dan Fox and Stephen Collins. Calendar Reminders
It's OFFICIAL ... End of the 2018-19 school year is set.
Graduation is Thursday, June 6 at 6:45 at La Salle University.
Final student day is Thursday, June 13, and schools will dismiss at the following times:
Cheltenham High School: 9:45 a.m.
Cedarbrook Middle School: 10:30 a.m.
Elkins Park School: 10:30 a.m.
K-4: 11:30 a.m.
Staff have professional development on Friday, June 14.
In service day on Monday, June 17 is the final teacher day.
Monday, August 26 is the first day of the 2019-2020 school year.
