9:50 - 10:50: Reading with Integrated Social Studies
10:50-11:25: Writing
11:25: SWITCH TIME - Mozisek to Lindsay / Smalling to Smith
11:30 - 11:50 : Grammar
11:50 - 12:50: Recess and Lunch **Lunch Duty 12:20 - 12:50
12:50 - 2:10: Reading with Integrated Social Studies
2:10 - 2:50: Writing
2:50: Switch back to homeroom and pack up for the day.
3:00 Car Rider Duty
Friday - No Strange Schedule Changes
Grammar: Parts of Speech Coloring Pages (They should be able to complete all four)
Reading: Integrated with Social Studies - Mentoring Minds Pg. 149 Stephen F. Austin: The Father of Texas - Students should use the strategies they practiced with Indians of Texas: Past and Present. They should make the headings into questions and place key words that summarize out to the side. Further, I'd like them to write a summary on the entire piece.
Writing: Students have been working with their rough drafts and adding structure and form. At this point, they should use their mini stories to rewrite their rough drafts.
Time: If additional time is needed for reading, students can borrow it from writing. If reading and writing are finished, which should take quite awhile if the students are doing everything they should, the can go back to work on the grammar. I will also leave additional work if needed.
