The Weekly Hoot
May 20-26, 2019
Greetings All -
Whew!! What a week! It was busy at school and then I have had the grandbabies all weekend. They just pulled down the driveway headed back to Louisiana so it is time to get some things done that I have put off all weekend...like the Hoot! :)
This past week was full of activity, but I know that we created some great memories for our students and we had them well prepared for the tests as well, and that makes it all worth it!
I know everyone is anxious to see a moving and waxing schedule. I promise as soon as Dave and I can sit down, we will get you something. Please know that with the HVAC work that is taking place all summer, hopefully getting the Pack inmates to paint the hallways, and our regular waxing of floors, it is going to be a tight turnaround this year. School will be "open for business" until June 27, but then I am going to be asking all of you to stay out the month of July as much as possible so that everything can get done without having to work around too many people. You need that month to rest and recharge anyway! :)
We are ready and willing to begin working on signing off on those checklists so let us know when we need to. Anything that physically needs to be turned in, we will have boxes for in the office beginning on WEDNESDAY. Please do not turn in your Emergency Folder until Thursday, May 30st after students leave.
Thanks to everyone who has been so positive on social media lately. I think it is contagious because I have seen lots of positive posts and felt lots of positive vibes. Let's keep it up!
Everyone enjoy the last hours of your weekend. I am about to take a little nap and then go play a little dominoes before we get started on these last two weeks! Let the fun begin!
Love to all,
Marcy
Owl Wings This Week Go To...
To all of the faculty and staff that were at the school yesterday (5/17/19). Three field trips on one day sounded like a great idea, but we never really thought about how many teacher parents would be going as a field trip chaperone and how shorthanded that would leave us here at school. Plus a few "Hoot Loot Days" were thrown in! LOL! What was I thinking! So thanks to everyone who pitched in by covering classes, duties, etc... It was appreciated and noticed. :)
And to all of you out there in the green hall, red hall, yellow hall, new and old blue hall trenches.... you are much appreciated!! This time of year is like childbirth. If you remembered it afterwards, you would never do it again. Thank you all for being the people you are and caring about these students, even when they are wild and crazy right now. All of you deserve Owl Wings for this past week and the next two. 8 1/2 days...let's do this!
