Is it Friday already?
What a fun week we had with our Art, P.E., and Music teachers. We worked with a substitute teacher in art and made some beautiful Christmas Trees by tracing shapes and painting with brushes and sponges. We will finish these next week. Look out for some great artwork!
On Wednesday we joined another class for Music and had a fun time making some new friends. Our new buddies have asked Mrs. Rogers if we can go into their music class again in the future. Love it!!
Today has been especially crazy. We had our Sing-A-Long this morning and the children had a wonderful time. Later we worked on making an ornament for our Holiday Traditions Unit. The children worked really hard on picking up pom-poms from the tub, squeezing glue, and pressing the pom-pom into place. We have put the finished ornament in their book backs inside a grocery bag, so please look out for it coming home. After lunch, we went on the computers and took part in the " Hour of Code." Our students got to complete puzzles and move items around as part of this national program. It is wonderful to see our students using the desktop, iPad, and Smartboard to complete these tasks. On top of all of this we had our December fire drill.
I am so proud of how well the children adapted to such a different schedule. We had calm students throughout the day, no matter what we were doing. They all deserve a lot of praise for being fabulous students. I am so lucky to be their teacher!

A Big Thankyou
Winter Celebration
We are not making this a big family event this time, but if you would like to donate some milk for the hot chocolate, tube icing for decoration, gum drops, or baked cookies it would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you can contribute. If you want to stop by and join us, please feel free to do so. The more the merrier!!!!
