Fabulous Fun On Field Day
Students had a blast participating in "team" games throughout the day. Students fought hard in tug-of-war, trashketball, water games, over-under-around and thru relays. After tallying all of the results the Purple team came in first, with the White Team in second and Blue Team in 3rd.
To cap off this year's Pillo Polo season, the championship game between the Shmeee's and the Dream Team took place in the afternoon. After a hard fought battle, the Shmeee's emerged victorious!!! Congratulations to all 5th and 6th grade players for participating this year.

Final Spirit Assembly
Next Ms. Vass gave out the boomerang awards for February, March and April. A job well done to all, and especially our building winners: Peyton Bauer and Kailey Goldberg!
Mrs. Mirsky announced all the final box top numbers. A special shout out to Mrs. Snyder’s class who had the most from the entire school.
The program continued with a lip sync battle: Mr. Grace did a fine job of being two singers at once lip syncing to the new “Beauty and the Beast” theme song along with special guest Cogsworth (Mr. West)! Contestant number two was our very own Mr. Testani, syncing to “Brand New Key” and appearing on stage with his roller blades. I think he needs some practice! Our final contestants were Mrs. Hughes and Mr. Hudak syncing to “Colors of the Wind” as Captain John Smith and Pocahantas.
The committee then surprised Mr. Testani with a tribute to him for his five years of service to us as our great principal. Mrs. Volpe, took the popular song “Call Me Maybe” and twisted the words just a bit to fit our feelings for him leaving our great school. Our assembly ended with one child from each classroom speaking to Mr. Testani and thanking him for all he has done for us. He received many small gifts including a new candy jar and some candy for his new office at Linden. He also received a beautiful butterfly bush that will be planted by the new Buddy Bench on the playground.
We will miss you Mr. Testani! Good luck to you at Linden.
Kids Care Club Meets Chimp Haven!
The kids had a great time at the Kids Care Club! They heard a great presentation from Mrs. Spiegel about chimps, decorated a stuffed paper towel tubes with Cheerio and raisin treats and had water ice to celebrate the end of the year. The treats and board books will be sent down to the refuge Chimp Haven for them to enjoy. The kids were told that this website would be passed along so they can see the chimps and learn even more about them. It is www.chimphaven.org . It was a fun year and our kids made a real difference in our community and world! They should be proud of all they accomplished. Please keep your eye out in the Gazette late next September for the first club of the new school year in October.
