GHS Speech & Debate cracks the Top 15 in National Rankings

In case you haven't heard our Speech & Debate team ROCKS!! As our team heads into their final stretch of tournaments of the season they find themselves ranked 15th in the nation out of 3142 teams. WOW! The ranking indicates the overall strength and size of the team. Teams climb higher on the ranking list as they compete and place in tournaments. The GHS team had a significant jump last week because of their stellar performance at the Parkview & Central Debate tournament. The tournament in one of the largest competitions in the Midwest. Our team finished the tournament only a few points out of first place. Glendale debaters are definitely having a great season. They have finished each tournament strong; most times with the win. To put this in perspective, Mr. Sutton stated that when he debated at Glendale they won one team trophy in four year. This year the team has won 23. Congratulations coaches Sutton and Hohnstein. Please let our debaters know we are proud of their accomplishments!
