Day One Of Fun: Segway Tour of Hugh Taylor Birch State Park

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is located between the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway. It is a beautiful and historic state park. This park is named after Hugh Taylor Birch. He loved nature and donated this property over 70 years ago to the State of Florida. You will enjoy the view of the ocean and history of this park by taking a guided Segway tour. You will see the one of the last tropical hardwood hammocks in Broward County. You will learn about local plants and wildlife. You can even visit Terramar Visitor Center to see exhibits about the history of Fort Lauderdale. You will end your day with a picnic lunch under the pavilion.

Day Two of Fun: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and Lunch at Cornell Cafe

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, Florida is a center for Japanese arts, culture, gardens, and food. You will visit the museum and learn about South Florida's history, Japanese culture, and the Japan-Florida connection. You will stroll through and enjoy the beautiful gardens which are like the famous gardens of Japan.

After an enjoyable morning, you will have lunch at the Cornell Cafe which is an open air cafe overlooking the gardens. You will enjoy delicious Pan-Asian food for lunch so you can experience more of the Japanese culture.

Day Three of Fun: Swim in the Venetian Pool

The Venetian Pool in Coral Gables, Florida is a great way to spend a refreshing day. You will swim in the beautiful 820,000 gallon pool carved out of coral rock and fed with clear cool spring water daily. You can also explore the coral rock caves, admire the beautiful spanish fountains and take a stroll over the cobblestone bridge. The pool is not just beautiful but historical too. The Venetians Pool has been open to the public since the 1924 and is listed in the National Register of Historical Places.

Day Four Of Fun: Vizcaya Museum and Gardens and Lunch at Versailles Cuban Restaurant

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens in Coral Gables, Florida is a 1916 Italian villa on Biscayne Bay donated by James Derring. You will tour this historical landmark. Enjoy the gorgeous villa with original European antiques located on 10 acres with pools and beautiful gardens. Take a look at the rockland hammock which is one of the few remaining in South Florida. This villa will take your breath away. It is listed as a National Historical Landmark.

The Cuban culture is an important part of Miami. You will go the Versailles Cuban Restaurant in Miami to eat the famous Cuban sandwich for lunch.

Day Five of Fun: Jungle Island

Jungle Island is an animal park in Miami Beach, Florida. It has it all for the animal lover in you. You will take a VIP safari tour and have a hands on animal encounter with some of the world's rarest animals. You will get to see a red-ruffed lemur, a red kangaroo, Capuchin monkeys, ligers, and parrots. Jungle Island is part of Florida's history since the park is currently celebrating its 75th anniversary.
