For Parents of Current 6th Graders - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunizations as soon as possible. Please return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records.
You can provide this documentation a couple different ways:
1) Bring a copy of the immunization record to the school for us to verify and note in our system.
2) Scan the document and send an email to Michelle Gardner, school nurse, at migardne@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Please note that students who have not provided documentation of this required immunization will not receive their class schedule during registration in August. If the required document is not received by the first day of school, your child will be excluded from school until proof of the vaccine is provided.
Gradventure Reminder - Current Grade 8 Students
Gradventure tickets are still available, and the busses are starting to fill up! Any student or chaperone who purchases a ticket before March 1 is guaranteed a spot. On March 1, our total number of busses will be set, and we will sell tickets until the last bus is full or March 15, whichever comes first.
We strongly encourage you to purchase your ticket as soon as possible. Tickets are $190.55, and include admission to both Universal and Islands of Adventure, charter bus transportation, a t-shirt, and a meal voucher. You may purchase through the "Pay Student Fees" button on the Angeline website, or by sending a check to Mr. Kelly.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Kelly at jwkelly@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Student Incentive Donations Needed
Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program is off to a strong start--but we're completely OUT of the three most popular items that students request with their points!
You can check out the entire wishlist, and have items shipped directly to our PBIS Committee. We appreciate your support of our students and their good work!
Math After Hours Program Sign Up
Don't forget! We're launching the sign up and payment link for the math program to support students in completing homework and strengthening their mastery of course standards. Save your spot!
Partners Wanted
Do you have a business that would welcome student volunteers, job shadowing, or interns? We're ready to begin planning for community experiences for our students in the 2024-2025 school year, and looking to curate a list of businesses and organizations that would be willing to let students complete volunteer hours for Bright Futures, honor society membership and more.
Scubanauts Info Session
Come check out this exciting and unique opportunity for students interested in scientific diving. Learn from students and advisors of a nearby chapter. Consider helping to launch a chapter here!
Math Tutoring
We're adding a focused, voluntary paid math tutoring program to our afterschool offerings. Interested parents may sign up using the Angeline Afterhours link in Rycor. This program will be staffed by a rotating lineup of certified math teachers who will work with students in SMALL GROUP tutoring sessions.
STEM Showcase Judges Needed
Angeline Academy of Innovation is proud to host the district's STEM Showcase this year on Saturday, February 10th. We are in need of volunteer judges to help score projects by elementary and secondary students. Judges receive a free t-shirt, lunch, and the satisfaction of encouraging the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers!

District Wide SAT ACT EOC Prep Day
We are excited to offer a District Wide SAT ACT EOC Prep Day for students. This event will take place at multiple host-site high schools across the county on February 24th. The sessions will take place face-to-face and will be supported by teacher leaders. The teacher leaders will offer sessions that include content to better prepare students for content and skills related to upcoming assessments. This event is to offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to participate in a one-day event that will hone their skills to support meeting the full option graduate and college entrance requirements. Please see the Sched for the sessions linked here to preview the session offerings at each site.
4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair
Pasco County Schools is hosting the 4th annual Virtual College and Career Fair on February 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The purpose of this event is to ensure helpful information is shared with middle and high school families across the district as they plan for college entrance and/or careers after high school. Each session will have a live presentation accessible through our online event platform, Sched, with representatives from College, Career, and Armed Forces.

3 Warnings for Dads Before You Give Your Kids a Phone
My wife and I always said that when our kids got to junior high school, we would talk about getting them a cell phone. Well, this past summer was our time, and we had to make a choice whether to hand our son a phone. After talking through all the safeguards, we then shifted the conversation to his responsibility level. Can he actually handle having the phone, take care of it, and make wise choices? Our answer to these questions was a resounding yes, so here we go. He has had his phone for a while now, and we have seen some great benefits. We didn’t realize how often we needed to communicate with him quickly, and with his phone, we are all on the same page. However, having his phone has shown us some things we didn’t foresee before we gave it to him. Here are 3 warnings for dads before giving kids cell phones.
Huddle up with your kids and ask, "What are the benefits of having a phone, and what are the potential downsides?”
