Consciousness
Subconscious, Conscious, and Super-conscious
What is Consciousness?
Consciousness is defined as "the state of being aware of one's surroundings", "the awareness of perception of something by a person", and "the fact of awareness by the mind of itself and the world".
The Subconscious
One's subconscious is made of things we can't control: memories, thoughts, feelings, and our impressions of people. Our subconscious controls our thoughts and behavioral patterns more than we think they do. When we dream, we are using our subconscious. The subconscious may seem like intuition or common sense, but it is really to subjective as they are so personal.
Conscious
The conscious is usually what we use to guide us and make decisions. Our conscious can be affected by other's opinions and is problem oriented. Any decisions made in this level of consciousness are not reliable, as other's opinions can cloud our judgement.
Superconscious
The last level of consciousness is the superconscious. This level of consciousness sees the big picture and can easily solve problems, because it sees the solution as a natural outgrowth of the problem.
