Back into the swing of things!
Looking forward to a great spring!
Thank you for all of the photos that you sent in for out bulletin board! It turned out great! As we step into the Spring, we will be working hard on learning some great music. I will be focusing on teaching your children how to read music as welll as sing it to better prepare them for any further interest they may have in pursuing vocal or instrumental training. I may be breaking students down into different small groups for rehearsals so that we can maximize our quality of rehearsal time. For starters, I have at least one song that I am hoping to do with only the boys.I am in the process of vocalizing them into parts. I will also do something similiar with the girls. As you saw earlier in the week, we will be going to Kemah to sing for the Bay Day Festival on Saturday, April 26th. We will be performing for Hubenak and Huggins' choirs. So this will be a great opportunity for the students. They will spend the rest of the day having fun. I will send more information about all of that in the next month or so. We will also have our evening Spring Concert on Thursday, May 1st.
Here are some current needs that I have for choir:
- I need a bookshelf to house our 52 choir folders on. If you have an old bookshelf that you would be interested in donating I would be most grateful.
- I also could use a few parents to help me put choir folders together and organize a few things.
- I also need a choir photographer or someone who could be in charge of making sure that we have photos taken of the kids at every event.
