• The Training Team reserves the right to cancel workshops due to low enrollment. Sessions that do not have at least 8 registered participants 3 days prior to the session will be canceled. • You will be notified by e-mail if a class has been canceled.


Please do not bring children to workshops or leave children unattended in the training area during workshops. Workshops are a professional learning environment and are not appropriate for children. Thank you for your cooperation.

Teacher Tests in Aware

Course Dates: October 2, 2013 at 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Location: Technology - Main Training Lab

Description: Participants will learn how to create teacher tests in aware to use for quick assessments, six weeks tests or semester tests. We will also look at analyzing the data when tests have been scored.

Creating a Classroom Website Using School Center

Course Dates: October 3, 2013 at 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Location: Technology - Main Training Lab

Description: This session will show participants the step by step process of creating grade level and teacher web pages using the School Center software. Participants will learn how to add and edit pages, create and edit forms and add calendar items so parents and community members can find out what is happening in the classroom.

Fonts, Fonts, Fonts for Windows 7

Course Dates: October 7, 2013 at 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Description: Ever get tired of the fonts on your computer? If so, this session is for you. Come learn how to find, download and install new fonts on your computer. We will also look at how to convert those new fonts into graphics.

Website Wednesday

Using the SMART Board & SMART Notebook

Course Dates: October 10, 2013 at 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Location: Technology - Main Training Lab

Description: Participants will learn how to use the SMART Board including orienting the board, using right click,etc. They will learn how to use the SMART Notebook software to create interactive lessons to be used with the SMART Board. Teachers are encouraged to bring a current lesson plan that can incorporate the SMART Board.

Simplify Your Life with Drop Box

Course Dates: October 16, 2013 at 4:15 PM to 5:30 PM

Location: Technology - Main Training Lab

Description: Is your digital life a little unorganized? Are you tired of e-mailing yourself files or saving them to a jump drive so you can access them on another computer? If so - this class is for you! Participants in this class will learn how to use Drop Box - a program that allows you to sync your files online and across your computers automatically. You can also sync files on your iPad, iPhone or Android device. We'll also discuss how you can use Drop Box with your students and their parents.
