A Note from SDOC Math Supervior
I am excited to share that the district has purchased licenses for your child to take part in Table Talk Math starting today and extending until the end of October. Here is some information regarding the program:
What is Table Talk Math?
Table Talk Math is a site with resources to help you engage in math conversation with your child. This is a completely optional resource that you have the opportunity to join should you choose. If interested, you may enroll in the "summer course" option. This option will send a standards aligned word problem from this year and preview concepts for next year through questions and/or activities. There are also videos that accompany the problems should the family get into a friendly debate over an answer! You can learn more about the program here by looking at the course series tab.
Who is eligible for Table Talk Math?
Students currently in grades 1 - 5

LAF Staff Appreciation Update
Lafayette Staff Appreciation Week is coming up the week of May 3rd. The 2020-2021 academic year has been a year like no other! The PTO, with the help of our parent community, is organizing a number of events to show our staff and faculty how much we appreciate them during the week of May 3rd.
Below are two links that give you the opportunity to help make this year’s Staff Appreciation Week a success.
- This link is for Sign Up Genius whereby you can donate food and/or drink items for the Staff Breakfast and/or the Candy Bar that will be set up in the Faculty Lounge during that week.
- This link is for Square provides an opportunity to donate a monetary amount that will go towards the Staff Appreciation Committee creating gift baskets with gift cards and other miscellaneous items. These gift baskets will be used in a raffle held during the week for the faculty. Many of the gifts will be centered around Chatham businesses such as T.M. Ward, Quartet, Chatham restaurants, and others.
Our parent community has been essential this year in helping the LAF staff and faculty feel recognized and acknowledged. We appreciate your help and let’s make this year's Staff Appreciation Week the best one yet!
