I have enjoyed spending time with my family, help my own children with their school work, creating lessons for YOU, and baking EVERYDAY!!! I even tried making the cookies in the picture behind these words. Please use this page as a resource for things that might come up for you and your family the next couple of weeks. I am always here to help. You can contact me through the Google Form link below or by email abarton@conroeisd.net.

Resilience - Bouncing Back
Resilience is an ability to be able to bounce back after getting knocked down. It is the way that we cope with set backs and disappointments without them becoming hurdles that hurt our progress.
How effective is your bounce back ability? It is important that we take care of ourselves and practice our own resilience. Try the quick resilience health check BOUNCE. There are six common characteristics that enhance our ability to ‘bounce back’ from challenges, set-backs, change and uncertainty.
These are:
Belief - in our ability to take control
Optimism - a positive outlook and hope for the future
Understanding - of our key strengths, values and motives
Network - of support, care and encouragement
Contribution - a willingness to give back and help others
Energy - the ability to sustain levels of energy and enthusiasm
Why not have a go and explore your personal levels of BOUNCE by looking at the diagram above? Where are you doing well? Where could you do better?
One way to build your resilience is to go through something hard, complete the task, and realize what YOU DID IT!
