Dublin Grizzell Middle School
Weekly Update 10/16/20
Principal's Message
Well, we have made it through the first quarter of the school year! We should all celebrate as everyone has adapted to all of the changes that were thrown our way this 9 weeks. This success would not have been possible without the hard work and flexibility of our students, parents, teachers, and support staff here at GMS. It has been a team effort throughout and we have a great team! I never imagined that this is what my first year as principal would be like, but I do know that I couldn't have asked for a better place in which to tackle 2020.
I encourage our students and staff to put the chromebooks away and enjoy the four day weekend with friends and family.
Thank you for your continued support of our GMS family. #HOME
Andy

Band and Orchestra Opportunities for RLA students.
The HS instrumental teachers have been working to put together a site with resources for MS RLA orchestra and band students. These sites will only be accessible through the student's school google account.
Strings: https://sites.google.com/dublinschools.net/dcsorchestra
Band: https://sites.google.com/dublinschools.net/bandonline
The purpose of this site is to provide a place where students can choose to go to for materials and ideas for continuing their instrumental practice. This is not part of the graded curriculum, but an extension opportunity that students could take advantage of while in RLA. It is optional for families and designed to help them continue to grow in band and orchestra during the pandemic.

A message from Dublin Ski and Board Club
Hello-We are hopeful for our Dublin Ski Club to continue this year on Tuesday nights starting after winter break. We have Cardinal charter busses reserved with COVID safety procedures in place. We are waiting only on Mad River Mountain to share with us what school ski clubs will look like this year with their reservation system. Per MRM: "We are currently working on the best approach to secure ski club participation through our new reservation system. As soon as we have those details, we will share with you. Our intention is to move forward with ski clubs, but it will be a collaboration that aligns with state, school and community guidelines."
We do have a NEW Schoology Group for ALL Dublin Ski and Board students grades 6-12, parents, advisors and chaperones to provide consistent communication. Here is a quick tutorial on how to join: Click Here
Join Code: 883G-68H2-K992J
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Positive thoughts for a Snowy Ski & Board Season. As soon as we get the information from Mad River, we will post forms and payment information through our Dublin Ski & Board Schoology Group.
