Greetings Imagine Broward Families!

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and we sincerely hope your celebrations with family and friends were extremely comforting and very relaxing. We now start our second half of the school year and are approaching 100 days of instruction. Remember Monday is an early release day and Tuesday is a no school day.

School of Distinction

The Coral Springs City Commission sent us a letter of recognonition to congratulate Imagine School at Broward for not only a successful five-year accreditation renewal from Cognia but also for being awarded one of the 2021 Schools of Distinction from Cognia. The City of Coral Springs will also be recognizing Imagine School at Broward as being a School of Distinction at their City Commison Meeting on January 26, 2022.

Re-enrollment

Re-enrollment forms will be sent home next week for families returning to Imagine School at Broward for the 2022-2023 school year. Open enrollment for families wanting to attend Imagine School at Broward will be from January 12 through February 28. The link for open enrollment is on our website. Please encourage friends, families, neighbors and acquaintances to apply to our fantastic school! We are planning on opening two additional Kindergarten and 1st grade classes next year with our expansion. Also, VPK will be expanding from 2 classes to 4 classes. Next year we plan to have a 3 year old preschool classroom. Share the information!

Face Mask Policy

Covid has not disappeared and the new variant has increased throughout the country. As we have returned to school after the Holidays, and with the ever-increasing positivity rates, we feel the best to lessen the impact of COVID-19 on our campuses and our communities is to protect yourself, your family and your friends by following the recommeded precautions.

At this time we continue to follow Broward County Schools Mask Mandate which requires all visitors and vendors to wear their mask when entering our building and throughout our campus. We want to proceed with an abundance of caution and are highly recommending all employees and students to our schools wear face coverings until further notice. Imagine Broward is strongly encouraging students to continue wearing a facial covering while indoors on school property. However, if you would prefer for your child(ren) to not wear a mask, please fill out this google form to indicate your decision so teachers are aware of your preference for our child. Click HERE

The health and well-being of our students and staff is paramount and we will continue to follow Broward County District, as well as the Florida Department of Health’s guidelines for quarantining. We rely heavily on parents and guardians as the first line of care and awareness for potentially ill students. Please remember to monitor your child for symptoms of COVID-19. If your child develops any COVID-19 symptoms or feels ill, please keep them home and contact the school to inform us.

Clinic

Hello Imagine families and happy holidays! On behalf of all of the office staff and myself, Jessica (the Imagine clinic coordinator), I would like to wish all of our awesome and valued clinic volunteers and their children a happy new year.

Our clinic is 100% run on volunteers and you guys are awesome, thank you for always stepping up to fill the last minute cancellations and moreover taking such great care of all of our children.

If you are not yet a clinic volunteer, I would like to invite you to join us this upcoming 2022 year. The clinic needs to be staffed by volunteers every single school day, shifts are 8 to 12, 12 to 4 or all day. All hours worked in the clinic count as DOUBLE hours! Zero previous medical experience is necessary.

We have encountered quite a few last-minute cancellations and no-shows for scheduled shifts. Please contact Jessica at 954–471–2974 to book yourself into a shift or if you are unsure of any of your clinic dates in the future. We require at least a week notification for shift cancellation (so that we can ensure coverage) with the exception of unforeseen circumstances and illness.

As well if you would like to be placed on a cancellation list, so that you can be contacted to cover these last-minute cancellations please call/text Jessica at 954-471-2974.

This year we have the addition of Wi-Fi in the clinic, (can I get an amen 🙌!). So all of you who haven't been able to volunteer because you need to bring your work with you can now do so! Although, please keep in mind it is required that every single child who comes in the clinic needs their parent called by the volunteer in order to notify them of their visit, so as long as you can do that you are welcome to bring your laptop in to do work in the lull of “patients”. Remember to wash hands regularly to slow the spread of germs, here’s to a happy and healthy 2022!
