Learning to RISE...the Stuart way!
Message from Principal Velez
This month we celebrate Black History Month. Black History Month is a federally recognized celebration in which we celebrate that many contributions the African American community has made to our country. To learn more about Black History Month, please click HERE!
At Stuart, we work hard to ensure that all our Raptors grow and learn in an environment that recognizes and celebrates their identity. We pride ourselves in being a values-based organization and ensure our Raptors demonstrate our values of RISE in everything we do and with every interaction we have with each other.
Respect for self, others, environment and learning is one of our core beliefs. We live this core belief in a number of ways. We ensure that all our Raptors have access to high quality education that take into account the unique needs and background of our Raptors. We ensure that each individual is treated with dignity and respect. We assess ourselves and our practices on a regular basis to ensure we are doing right by our community.
We are aware that there is still a lot of work ahead of us to make Stuart a true inclusive school. We will continue to get better each day. For now, we want to take a minute to recognize and celebrate our African American brothers and sisters; particularly our Stuart Raptors. Thank you for everything that you are, for everything that you bring to our community, and for all your contributions to making our school a better more diverse community.
Stay strong Stuart! Together, we will continue to RISE!
