Demystifying Georgia Milestones
Have questions about Georgia Milestones? This workshop is designed to answer those questions, help educators understand the test development process, who is involved, and how the results can be used to reflect on instructional practice. What resources are available for schools and classroom teachers? How are items written? How are student responses scored? And just how does one make sense of the test results? No need to bring your number two pencil - just bring your questions and your district, school, or class score reports.

Georgia Milestones: Scoring Open-Ended Items
This hands-on session will focus on how the Georgia Milestone’s open-ended items are scored. Student responses in both English language arts and mathematics will be analyzed and scoring rubrics applied by the participants. This workshop is designed to answer scoring questions as well as support districts and schools who have common assessments and want to ensure common expectations.
