Jan. 16-20 Newsletter
We are proud of our Admirals who participated in the Legends of Learning and myON Reading winter break challenges! A special CONGRATULATIONS to Previn M. for being a Legends of Learning winner for a Roblox gift card, along with Oden R. (K-2 category) and Oliver B. (6-8 category) for the myON Reading Challenge, receiving wireless headphones and tablets. Keep up the great work - we love seeing our Admirals win district recognition and prizes!
Middle School PE classes had an exciting day today with a visit from the Tampa Bay Lightning Street Hockey team! The team came out to teach the students hockey drills and scrimmage with them. Each student participant got a hockey stick to take home.
The grow boxes constructed by Mr. Turner and student helpers are now fully filled with soil and scientific instruments, thanks to PTSA. We can't wait to see what grows...and experiment with variables to test growth patterns along the way.
This week our track was painted with running lanes. We are ready for our 5th,6th, and 7th grade track team members to show off their skills on our gorgeous track & field.
If you have friends or family awaiting the results of the 1st Choice Round for York's 2023-2024 year they won't have to wait much longer! The Magnet offer window will run 1/26-2/3. Be on the lookout for offer emails. (Reminder, if your student already attends York you do NOT need to re-apply, your student is set though grade 8!)
Our PTSA is in search of an individual with knowledge about installing engraved paver stones around campus. If you would like to donate your installation skill set or have a connection, please reach out to our PTSA by emailing president.dcyorkptsa@gmail.
