A note from the Principal
Hello families!
We have many events upcoming, so please make sure you are checking in on a regular basis! We are busy, busy, busy and looking forward to our last month of school!
Did you know that as we are winding down the school year we are also planning for next year? Tentative class lists are being created as there are many different factors that weigh into each class. Teachers are working on communication forms to share with the teacher for the next year to ensure a smooth transition as well! If you are planning to move over the summer, please let the office know as soon as possible. Also, if you will be at Hunt Club next year, please make sure to re-register your children before May 1st!
Next Friday we are planning to have our Day of Awesomeness! We are very excited to have a day filled with bounce houses, hula hoops, music and fun to celebrate the hard work our students and their families put into raising money for our school. Thank you very much for your generosity as we have benefited from the fundraiser in many ways!

ART TO Remember Arrived!
From the Nursing Office
21/22 Dental Requirement - Kindergarten & 2nd grade
In the fall of 2005, the State of Illinois began requiring a complete dental examination for students in kindergarten and 2nd grade.
Students in kindergarten and 2nd grade for the school year 2021-2022 need an examination dated on or after November 15, 2020 to meet this requirement. You may call and ask your dentist to fill out the form on any exam completed since that time.
Call your dentist today to make an appointment, as the appointments fill up quickly. Please contact the nurse if a lack of insurance is keeping you from obtaining a dental exam.
Hearing & Vision Screenings
Our yearly hearing and vision screenings will be held during the school day on Thursday 3/17 and Friday 3/18. Those students in kindergarten, 2nd grade, and all students with IEP's (including 4th/5th grade) will be screened for both hearing and vision. Students in 1st and 3rd grades will be screened for vision only.
Please feel free to contact Nurse Randi at 630-636-2802 or rspinelli@sd308.org with any questions or concerns.
April Menu
Snow/Emergency Day Packets
Teachers will be live in their Google meets from: 9-9:30, 11:30-12 and 1:30-2 to support and answer any questions a child might have. Student attendance is required for a snow/emergency day. The second page of each packet will be collected by the classroom teacher when school reopens. The students only need to bring the page back filled out by the parent. They do not need to bring the whole packet back to school .
Please keep it in a safe place at home. We will be using this as our instructional tool for our snow/emergency days. Please know that all elementary schools are following this same procedure.
